With its incredible landscapes and world-class festivals, it’s the perfect place to explore the freedom of the open road. 2025 offers countless events for the whole family to enjoy, offering the perfect excuse to book your motorhome and hit the road. Here are our top 10 events in across Australia, and which motorhome we recommend for each, perfect for you next family holiday.

Adelaide Fringe Festival  

Dates: Feb 21 – Mar 23
One of the largest and most celebrated arts festivals in the Southern Hemisphere, the Adelaide Fringe Festival is a multi-week event that transforms the city into a hub of performance art, comedy, live music, and visual arts. With over 1,000 performances, there’s something for everyone. Whether you're into theatre, comedy, circus acts, or visual arts, this festival is a must-see. Families can enjoy outdoor shows, art installations, and interactive performances.

Where to park: Adelaide has several family-friendly caravan parks where you can park your motorhome and explore the city. If you’re looking for locations close to the action visit here - just make sure to only park in uncovered parking!

Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show

Dates: Mar 26 – Mar 30

Ekka - The Royal Queensland 

Dates: Aug 9 – Aug 17  
Held annually in Brisbane, the Royal Queensland Show, known as Ekka, is an iconic event celebrating rural life with a modern twist. Roll up your sleeves and get your gumboots on as this show features everything from livestock competitions to carnival rides, delicious food stalls, and outdoor concerts. Darwin Festival

Dates: Aug 7 – Aug 24

Where to park: Motorhome travel is easy in Brisbane with many caravan parks available to make your base. From there you make your way into the city by public transport for all the different events.

New Year’s Eve Fireworks
