These spots are a little different from the typical touristy areas, offering something for every type of traveller.
1. Taupo
Taupō, located in the heart of the North Island, is a vibrant city enriched with New Zealand’s culture, set against the backdrop of the stunning Lake Taupō. Here, there is something for everyone, whether you’re an adrenaline seeker, want to relax, or are interested in history and culture.
For thrill-seekers, there’s the chance to go skydiving with a breathtaking view of the lake and the Tongariro River. You can also explore the mighty Huka Falls, a powerful and stunning waterfall, or take a dip in the natural hot springs scattered throughout the area. For hiking enthusiasts, the Tongariro Alpine Crossing provides a world-class trekking experience through volcanic landscapes. After a day of adventure, unwind in one of the local hot springs or enjoy a coffee by the lake in Taupō’s charming town centre.

2. Coromandel

There is no shortage of things to do and spots to explore in the Coromandel. 3. Lake Tekapo
